The domestic currency, the Indian Rupee has remained firm against the US dollar in the forex market. The Indian rupee opened at 73.82 per US dollar on Friday after rising 0.65% in the previous session. its highest level against the dollar since March 13, 2020. The positive trend in the share markets, weak dollar and sustained foreign fund inflows supported the rupee.
The dollar index, which measures US dollar’s strength against a basket of six currencies, fell 0.19% to 92.82.
