Byculla Prison ; Rhea Chakraborty to be in the same jail where Indrani Mukerjea is !!!

Mumbai ; Rhea Chakraborty who spend the night at Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) headquarters, was sent to Byculla Women’s prison on Wednesday morning. Rhea was arrested by NCB on Tuesday in relation with the investigation of a drug angle in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. Rhea was taken to the Byculla prison by NCB officials, along with a police escort at around 10:30 am today. Indrani Mukerjea, who is undergoing trial for her daughter Sheena Bora’s murder case, is abide in the same prison.

According to sources,Indrani has a huge following in the prison and she meets every new inmate when they are sent to the prison. In 2017, after the death of an inmate Manjula Shete, Indrani had led protests in the prison. Other than Indrani, there are around 250 inmates presently inside the prison.

Rhea has been kept in a general barrack where new inmates are kept in the prison before being allotted a barrack. The jail doctor examined Rhea and checked her blood pressure, sugar levels,pulse and confirmed that Rhea was normal and there is no serious health related illness. She was allowed to rest after that and her bag was kept outside. Things that she needed were handed over to her in a small polythene bag which contained a few pairs of clothes, dental kit and other everyday essentials.

By evening a call will be taken on the barrack that will be allotted to Rhea Chakraborty. The jail has around 6 barracks and in each barrack around 40 to 50 inmates are kept . These barracks are huge halls where space is allotted to each inmate. They are provided a thin quilt, a small pillow, one white bedsheet and a blanket. These have to be rolled on the floor while sleeping and, in the morning, these have to be rolled and kept on one side. Inmates are provided with small polythene bags in which they keep their belongings close to their bedrolls.Rhea was provided lunch which included two chapatis, a bowl of rice, a bowl of dal and one sabzi. The jail also has a canteen from where inmates can buy biscuits and other daily need items.Sources have said that Rhea will be kept in a different barrack than Indrani. By evening the jail authorities will decide on where to lodge Rhea.
