Novosibirsk: A 14-year-old girl in Russia froze her new-born baby to death as she was “too scared” to tell her parents about her pregnancy. The incident happened at Verkh-Tula village near Novosibirsk city in Siberia, Russia. The schoolgirl’s family did not know that she was pregnant. She delivered a baby boy in secret on her own. She, later, kept the newborn in a plastic bag and placed him in a freezer in her family’s garage while her father was working in the garden.
The girl, after the delivery, was bleeding profusely. Her mother, who thought she was suffering from appendicitis, called up an ambulance to shift her to a hospital for medical care. In the ambulance, the teenager told the paramedics that she had, in fact, delivered a child. She also told them that she had kept the baby in the freezer. But it was too late as the newborn was already dead by then. The girl is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital. She is said to be in critical condition. Meanwhile, a neighbor said that she wondered if the teenager was pregnant and asked her mother about it. However, the girl’s mother told her that she had just put on some weight. The now-deceased child’s father is 16 years old; he broke up with the girl in summer this year, according to reports.
