In Kozhikode Koduvalli municipality, when the independent candidate Karat Faisal won in the 15th division Chundapuram, the LDF candidate got zero votes.
Faisal was initially announced as the LDF candidate. However, Faisal was replaced by INL leader Abdul Rashid as the LDF candidate after he was questioned by customs in a gold smuggling case.
