Chennai: Air Customs has seized 3.12 kilograms of gold worth Rs 1.33 crore from two passengers travelling from Dubai. The customs officials seized gold from their checked-in bags. The gold was concealed in the metal lining of their checked-in baggage. the gold wires were also coated in silver to evade detection by Customs. The recovered gold was seized under the provisions of the Customs Act, 1962.
