Chile announced its first instance of the Coronavirus’ omicron variant on Saturday.
According to police, a foreign resident living in Chile returned from Ghana on November 25 and tested positive in a PCR test at the Santiago airport.
The foreigner, who received two Pfizer immunizations, is in good health and is quarantined, while other passengers on the flight he was on are being monitored, health officials in Valparaso reported.
