Female conductors to be appointed on school buses with girls in Uttarakhand

The Uttarakhand government has made it mandatory for private schools and colleges to assign female conductors on buses with girls, in the sake of women’s safety.

In the event that the female bus conductor is absent, the female school staff will be required to stay on the bus until the last student has reached home. The decision was made to improve the safety of students. The department has issued a directive in this regard.
