Vehicle falls into pond in Purnia, Bihar; 8 died

After their vehicle fell into a pond, up to eight people were killed. The tragedy occurred late last night in Bihar’s Purnia district. The vehicle was carrying at least ten persons, two of whom have been rescued.

‘Eight bodies were recovered. They were coming from Tarabadi and going to Kishanganj when it happened. Two people were safely rescued. The bodies are being sent for postmortem,’ the police said.
