Nawab Malik, Anil Deshmukh appealed Supreme Court for permission to vote in MLC elections.

Nawab Malik and Anil Deshmukh, both MLAs from Maharashtra, have petitioned the Supreme Court (SC) for permission to vote in the Maharashtra Legislative Council election. Both political leaders are now incarcerated and have challenged the Bombay High Court’s decision on Friday denying them permission to vote.

They have a statutory right to vote as an elected representative, according to the plea.
