The murder case of 28-year-old student leader Anish Khan was refused transfer to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for investigation by the Calcutta High Court. The high court ruled on Tuesday that the murder case should not be transferred to the CBI.
Primary reports suggest there was no attempt to manipulate the investigation, according to Calcutta High Court judge Rajashekhar Mantha. The state government-appointed Special Investigative Team (SIT) has been instructed to continue the probe and file a charge sheet as soon as possible by the court.
