Customs officials arrested an Ethiopian man at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport here on Tuesday for allegedly trying to smuggle cocaine worth Rs 29 crore into the country, according to an official statement. On Saturday, the accused was arrested after coming from Addis Ababa.
Around 1.9 kilogramme cocaine was found in a trolley bag during the passenger’s personal and baggage search, according to the report. The cocaine, worth Rs. 29.32 crore on the international market, was seized, and the passenger was arrested.
