Hunt on for tiger that killed two persons in Uttarakhand’s Corbett Reserve

 

Chief Wildlife Warden Parag Madhukar Dhakate given his consent on Monday to tranquillize and cage a tiger that has killed two people in the Corbett Tiger Reserve so far. So far, one person has been injured.

 

To catch the huge cat, patrolling has been increased, he said. Two elephants from Dhikala have also been brought in to help with the effort. According to CTR Director Naresh Kumar, the tiger assaulted these people on the fringes of the reserve’s Sarpduli area. Officials have been urged to exercise extra caution during the exercise, according to Kumar.

 

Villagers living in the suburbs of Corbett have been asked to refrain from visiting the forest. In February of this year, the tiger claimed its first victim in Corbett. On June 15, it claimed its second victim at the reserve, and on June 17, it seriously injured another person.
