In Ahmedabad on Monday, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel unveiled the digital hub ‘Gujarat Tak’ of the Aaj Tak news network. Patel added during the launch event, ‘Gujarat has maintained the pace of development even during the pandemic by manifesting the slogan of Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas. Recently, the state retained its first rank in the National Report on Financial Affairs.’
He went on to say, ‘For 20 years, Gujarat was led and guided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and he laid the foundation of development. As a result, today, the state has achieved development in all sectors including water, health, roads, girl child protection and agricultural industrial development.’
‘Gujarat’s share in the country’s economy is 8.36 per cent, the government is moving forward with a road map to increase it to 10 per cent,’ according to CM Bhupendra Patel.
He remarked, as he gave the state of Gujarat’s development statistics: ‘In 2002, there were 2.74 lakh MSMEs, today it has increased to 8.66 lakh. Industrial output has increased from 1.27 lakh crore to 16.19 lakh crore. Gujarat’s contribution to the country in exports is 30 per cent. The area under cereal crops has reached 31.82 lakh hectares. As far as primary education is concerned, the dropout ratio has come down from 37 per cent to three per cent. The state government is conscious of the fact that every child should study. 20 years ago medical seats were 1,375, which has reached 7,700 today.’
