The Group of Seven (G7) finance ministers announced in a joint statement on Friday that they intend to adopt a price ceiling on Russian-origin crude oil and petroleum products.
According to the ministers, the initial price cap would be based on a variety of technical inputs, and the price level will be reassessed as needed.
‘We intend to coordinate implementation with the timing of corresponding measures included in the EU’s sixth sanctions package,’ they added.
