Belarus announced on Tuesday that its military had formed a defence alliance with Russian troops on its borders.
‘All current activities are focused at effectively responding to actions near our borders,’ the defence ministry said.
President Alexander Lukashenko said on Monday that he has ordered troops to deploy near Ukraine with Russian forces in reaction to what he called a clear threat to Belarus from Kyiv and its Western sponsors.
