The Delhi government has approved the higher charge for auto rickshaws and taxis in response to rising CNG prices in the capital over the past few months.
Nearly two lakh auto rickshaw and taxi drivers will be relieved, since they had to absorb higher costs as a result of recent increases in CNG rates. The revised rates for taxis and auto rickshaws would be applicable after they are announced in the upcoming weeks with the Delhi government’s approval.
