On Thursday, the air intelligence unit at Trichy airport seized 14 rolls of thin long gold wires worth over Rs 12 lakh.
The 250 grammes of gold were seized from a male passenger on an IndiGo flight from Dubai to Trichy.Officials searched the man and found gold wires hidden inside the veil he was wearing.
According to the officials, the seized gold was worth around Rs 12,84,869.
