Farooq Abdullah stepped down as chairman of National Conference

Former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah stepped down as president of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) party on Friday.

‘My health does not permit me to lead the party now,’ the JKNC patron told his party workers in Srinagar.

The new party president will be elected on December 5, with former J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah as the likely successor.
