Tragedy struck the Kanjikode steel factory in the early hours of Tuesday as a blast claimed the life of Aravindan (22), a resident of Pathanamthitta.
The incident also left three migrant workers injured, who were promptly rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities have tentatively determined that the explosion originated from a furnace, but further investigations are underway to ascertain the exact cause.
