During the promotional tour of ‘Leo’ in Kerala, Lokesh Kanakaraj found himself caught in a chaotic mobbing incident. His first stop at Aroma theatre, despite tight security measures, couldn’t prevent the crowd from getting out of control, leading to Lokesh’s unfortunate injury. As the situation escalated, law enforcement had to employ the use of lathis to regain control. Consequently, Lokesh had to prematurely conclude his tour and return to Chennai, resulting in the cancellation of his planned visits to Thrissur Ragam and Kochi Kavitha theatres. In response, Lokesh announced that the scheduled press meeting in Kochi would be postponed.
Meanwhile, ‘Leo’ continued to draw eager audiences, with a star-studded cast featuring Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Mysskin, Gautham Menon, and Mathew Thomas, among others. The film, produced by Lalith Kumar and Jagadish Palanisami under the banner of Seven Screen Studio and The Root, has been distributed in Kerala by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies, with Dream Big Films serving as the distribution partner in the region.
