A tragic incident unfolded in Jharkhand’s Deoghar district as a car carrying five family members fell off a bridge, resulting in their unfortunate demise. According to the Deoghar Superintendent of Police, Ajit Peter Dungdung, the accident transpired when their vehicle veered off the bridge, plummeting into the Siktia barrage. Tragically, five family members lost their lives, while the driver of the SUV sustained injuries. The victims have been identified as Mukesh Rai (30), an engineer, his wife Lovely Kumari (27), brother-in-law Roshan Choudhary (23), a young boy, and a one-and-a-half-year-old girl. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examinations.
This sorrowful incident occurred as the family was en route from Asansol Sankul village in Sarath, Deoghar, to Giridih. Reports suggest that the accident unfolded when one of the family members, a professional engineer, began driving the vehicle, possibly for taking selfies, and subsequently lost control of the SUV, leading to the tragic outcome.
