Mumbai: Indian equity benchmark indices fell more than 1% on October 26. The equity indices extended the losing streak for the sixth consecutive session.
BSE Sensex ended at 63,148.15, down 900.91 points or 1.41%. NSE Nifty settled at18,857.30, down 264.90 points or 1.39%.

About 1211 shares advanced, 1943 shares declined, and 101 shares remained unchanged. Top gainers were Axis Bank, HCL Technologies, Adani Ports, IndusInd Bank and ITC. Top losers included M&M, Bajaj Finance, Asian Paints, UPL and Bajaj Finserv.
BSE Midcap index down 1% and Smallcap index down 0.3%. Except power, all other sectoral indices ended lower with Auto, Financial Services, Metal, Private Bank and Realty leading the losses. The volatility index (India Vix) ended up 3.69%.
