A mere day after the tragic demise of renowned film-serial actor Renjusha Menon at her residence in Thiruvananthapuram, another shocking and unexpected death has sent shockwaves through the television industry in Kerala. Priya, a prominent figure in serials such as ‘Karuthamuthu,’ succumbed to a sudden cardiac arrest on Tuesday, a heartbreaking event made even more poignant by the fact that she was eight months pregnant. Priya was a woman of remarkable talents; in addition to her acting career, she was actively pursuing an MD and working at the PRS Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram.
The news of her untimely passing was shared by fellow serial actor Kishor Sathya, who conveyed, “Dr. Priya has tragically passed away due to a heart attack. She was eight months pregnant and suffered a cardiac arrest during a routine hospital checkup. Shockingly, she had no prior health issues. As of now, her child is in the ICU.” The grief-stricken actor went on to express his helplessness in the face of such a devastating loss, stating, “Her mother and husband are inconsolable. How can we possibly console them in this moment of unfathomable cruelty, especially considering their deeply religious and God-fearing nature? There are so many unanswered questions.”
Kishor Sathya concluded his emotional message with a heartfelt plea, “How can we find solace for the family of someone who departed so prematurely? Priya was just 35 years old. I can only hope that her mother and husband will find the strength to endure this profound loss.” Priya, who resided in Poojappura with her mother and daughter, was married to Saravanan, who hailed from Bengaluru. Her return to the small screen, following a hiatus after her marriage, was a testament to her unwavering passion for her craft.
