Abu Dhabi: UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered to rename Abu Dhabi International Airport. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan issued directives to change the official name of the airport.
The airport will be renamed after the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The airport will be named ‘Zayed International Airport’. The name change will take effect from February 9, 2024, coinciding with the official opening ceremony of the new Terminal A

The swanky terminal will operationally open today, November 1. The new Abu Dhabi International Airport Terminal A will accommodate up to 45 million passengers per year and have flights to 117 destinations worldwide. It spans over 742,000sqm.
