On November 1, Ashish Banerjee, a resident of Bardhaman, West Bengal, was shocked to read a letter he had received in the mail. An admission card for a test that was administered seven years prior was found inside the sealed envelope.
December 18, 2016, was the day of the test for the position of assistant in the Agricultural department. In March of that year, Ashish Banerjee saw an advertisement for the position in a newspaper and decided to apply.
But for seven years after he applied, he was kept in the dark about the position and received no information at all.
When Ashish first got the envelope from the Agricultural department on November 1, he was thrilled. But as soon as he learned what was inside, it quickly turned into rage.
Ashish stated he is considering filing a lawsuit and that he wants an inquiry into why he didn’t receive the admit card until seven years later.
He wants to know who made the error for which he was penalized. According to Ashish, who spoke with India Today, this case was probably a scam, just like the other job scams that have occurred in the state.
