Mumbai: Stock exchanges in India will open for Diwali muhurat trading on November 12, Sunday. Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) will open from 6 pm to 7:15 pm for muhurat trading on November 12 on the occasion of Diwali. Muhurat Trading is a symbolic trading session held by stock exchanges to mark the auspicious festival of Diwali.
The normal market session will take place between 6:15 PM and 7:15 PM. The trade modification will be allowed till 7:25 PM. The closing session will be held between 7:25 PM to 7:35 PM. The block deal session will be held between 5:45 PM to 6 PM. There will be an 8-minute window for the pre-open session between 6 PM and 6:08 PM. The call auction liquid session will take place between 6:20 PM and 7:05 PM.

Muhurat trading mark the beginning of a new Hindu calendar year, also known as Samvat. It is believed that conducting trading during the auspicious hour brings prosperity and financial growth to investors. All trades executed during the muhurat trading session are settled on the same day.
