Evan Ellingson, a former child star who gained recognition for his roles in CSI: Miami and My Sister’s Keeper, has sadly passed away at the age of 35. Authorities have confirmed his death after he was discovered in the bedroom of a residence in Fontana on a Sunday. The exact cause of death is currently unknown.
Ellingson embarked on his career in the entertainment industry at a tender age. His initial notable appearance was in 2001 when he made his debut on the television screens in the soap opera General Hospital. This marked the commencement of a promising career that would lead to his rise to fame.
His journey in the realm of television continued as he secured a recurring role on the Fox sitcom Titus from 2001 to 2002. Nevertheless, it was his portrayal of Kyle Harmon, the son of David Caruso’s Horatio Cane, in the well-received crime drama series CSI: Miami that solidified his status. Evan featured in 18 episodes of the show from 2007 to 2010.
However, Ellingson was not confined to television, as he also made notable contributions to the world of cinema. In 2006, he appeared in Clint Eastwood’s Letters from Iwo Jima, a war film that garnered critical acclaim. His role in the 2009 film My Sister’s Keeper, where he starred alongside Cameron Diaz, also received attention.
Despite his successes in his career, Evan encountered personal struggles, including a battle with substance abuse. His father, Michael Ellingson, revealed that Evan had faced these issues in the past but had shown signs of improvement in recent times.
