The cumulative count of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 4.50 crore (4,50,01,419). Encouragingly, the number of individuals who have successfully recovered from the disease has risen to 4,44,67,947, resulting in a national recovery rate of 98.81 percent, as reported on the health ministry’s official website.
The case fatality rate, which measures the proportion of fatalities among confirmed cases, is recorded at 1.19 percent, reflecting a relatively low mortality rate. Additionally, the ministry’s website reports that an impressive 220.67 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered across the country, reflecting significant progress in the vaccination campaign.
