Ingredients:
– 1 cup of water
– 1 cup of milk
– 2 teaspoons of loose black tea leaves or 2 tea bags
– 4-5 green cardamom pods, lightly crushed
– 2-3 teaspoons of sugar (adjust to taste)
– A small piece of fresh ginger (optional)
– A few peppercorns (optional)
– A few cloves (optional)

**Instructions:**
1. Start by crushing the green cardamom pods slightly to release their flavor. You can also add other optional spices like ginger, peppercorns, and cloves for added depth of flavor.

2. In a saucepan, add water and the crushed cardamom pods (and any other optional spices you’re using). Bring it to a boil and then let it simmer for a couple of minutes to infuse the water with the spices.

3. Add loose black tea leaves or tea bags to the simmering water. You can adjust the amount of tea based on your preference for strength.

4. Add sugar to the tea. You can adjust the sweetness to your liking. Stir well.

5. After the tea has brewed for a few minutes (usually 3-5 minutes, but you can adjust the steeping time for your preferred tea strength), add the milk. You can use whole milk or your choice of milk (dairy or non-dairy).

6. Bring the tea to a boil, and then reduce the heat to let it simmer for a few more minutes. Be careful not to let it boil over.

7. Once the tea has a rich color and the flavors are well combined, strain it into a teapot or your cup.
