Homemade Iced Tea – A Simple and Delicious Recipe

Refreshing Iced Tea Recipe:

Ingredients:
1. 4-5 tea bags (black or green tea, depending on your preference)
2. 4 cups of water
3. Ice cubes
4. Sweetener of choice (sugar, honey, agave syrup)
5. Lemon slices (optional)
6. Fresh mint leaves (optional)

Instructions:

1.  Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a pot or kettle.

2.  Place the tea bags in a heatproof pitcher and pour the boiling water over them. Let the tea steep for about 5-7 minutes, or according to the recommended time for your chosen tea type.

3.  Once steeped, remove the tea bags from the pitcher. Be mindful not to squeeze them to avoid bitterness.

4.  Add your preferred sweetener while the tea is still warm. Start with 2-3 tablespoons and adjust to your taste. Stir until the sweetener is completely dissolved.

5.  Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, and then place it in the refrigerator to chill for at least 1-2 hours.

6. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled tea over the ice.

7.  Add lemon slices for a citrusy kick and fresh mint leaves for a burst of flavor.

8. Stir and enjoy your homemade iced tea! Customize it further by experimenting with different tea varieties or adding fruit slices for extra flair.
