Mumbai: The semi-finals line-up for ICC ODI World Cup has been confirmed. Hosts India is the first team to secure the semi berth. India is followed by South Africa, 5-time champions Australia and the runners-up of 2019 World Cup, New Zealand
India has won all 8 matches played in the group stage. They have one more match to play. India is in the top of the points table. Team India will face New Zealand in the semis as the latter finished fourth on the points table. The semi-final between India and New Zealand will be played on Wednesday, 15 November at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. India have already beaten New Zealand by 4 wickets in their meeting at the league stage match.
South Africa will take on 5-time World Champions Australia in the semi-final 2 at Eden Gardens Kolkata on November 16. South Africa defeated the Aussies with a 134-run win in the grou match.
The World Cup final will be held at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, 19 November.
