On Wednesday, the Delhi Development Authority’s (DDA) highest decision-making body approved the launch of the ‘Festival Special Housing Scheme 2023,’ making more than 32,000 flats of various categories available for sale, as per officials. Notably, over 1,100 luxury flats, including penthouses, super HIGs, and HIGs in Dwarka 19B with a view of the upcoming DDA golf course, will be offered for the first time. All these flats will be sold through e-auction.
Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena, who serves as the DDA chairman, chaired the meeting where the decision to launch the scheme was made. The approved scheme encompasses flats in different categories at various locations such as Dwarka, Lok Nayak Puram, and Narela, according to an official statement. It was emphasized that individuals can purchase DDA houses even if they already own property in Delhi. The flats will be available through e-auction and on a first come, first served (FCFS) basis. All the flats offered under the scheme are newly constructed.
The housing scheme includes the sale of 316 MIG flats in Sector 14, Dwarka, and 647 in Lok Nayak Puram through e-auction. Additionally, 728 EWS flats in Sector 19B, Dwarka, 316 LIG flats, 1,008 EWS flats in Sector 14 Dwarka, 224 EWS flats in Lok Nayak Puram, and over 28,000 flats across various categories in Narela will be offered through the FCFS mode. The DDA emphasized that the entire process, from application to allotment and possession, is conducted online on its website. Further details of the scheme will be shared on the DDA’s website, leading newspapers, and social media platforms soon, according to the statement.
