Preparations for the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2023 in Goa are in their final stages, according to Delilah Lobo, the vice chairperson of the Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG). With just five days remaining until the festival’s inauguration on November 20 in Panaji, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant conducted a meeting to assess the arrangements. Lobo expressed pride in ESG’s meticulous preparations, ensuring an unparalleled cinematic experience for the event. The retro-themed decoration is set to contribute to the festival’s unique atmosphere.
The upcoming IFFI will feature premieres of various films and shows, including Salman Khan’s “Farrey,” Pankaj Tripathi’s “Kadak Singh,” and Tamil star Arya’s OTT series “The Village.” These titles will be showcased in the newly-introduced ‘Gala Premiers’ segment, aiming to connect film stars with the audience. The film lineup encompasses diverse offerings such as the silent film “Gandhi Talks” starring Arvind Swami, Vijay Sethupathy, and Aditi Rao Hydari, Siddharth Randheria’s Gujarati title “Hurry Om Hurry,” Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s “Rautu Ki Beli,” and the Kannada film “Grey Games” starring Vijay Raghvendra. The 54th edition of IFFI is scheduled to conclude on November 28.
