During street fight in London, British Sikh teenager stabbed to death

On Wednesday, November 15, a 17-year-old British Sikh adolescent was fatally stabbed during a street altercation in South-West London. The Metropolitan Police of London reports that on Wednesday night, their officers received information about a street brawl that had occurred in Burket Close, in the Hounslow neighbourhood of London.

After the alert, the London Ambulance Service and a police squad arrived at the location and brought the situation under control. Nevertheless, ‘despite the best efforts of the emergency services,’ a stab wound claimed the life of Simarjeet Singh Nangpal.

Detective Superintendent Figo Forouzan, Head of CID in West London, commented on the tragedy, saying, ‘At this very trying time, our sympathies are with Simarjeet’s family. No family should have to endure what this family is going through.’

‘The victim’s family is being supported by specialist officers.’ ‘This incident will undoubtedly cause wider concern, and I want to reassure the community that we will do everything in our power to find those responsible. In the coming days, you will see extra officers out on patrol in your area. Please do speak to them about any concerns you may have,’ he said.

Four persons, ages 21, 27, 31, and 71, respectively, have been taken into custody by the police in relation to Nangpal’s murder.

Notably, all four of the case’s suspects were taken into custody right away. Due to injuries they received before the police arrived, two were first transported to the hospital; however, they have since been released from the hospital and are still being held.
