In an ongoing encounter in the D.H Pora area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district, security forces successfully neutralized five terrorists, according to a statement from the police on Friday. The joint operation involving Kulgam Police, Army, and CRPF resulted in the recovery of incriminating materials. The police reported, “Operation in final stage; area being sanitized.”
The confrontation unfolded on Thursday when a joint team received intelligence about the presence of terrorists in the region. Upon cordoning off the area, the terrorists initiated gunfire, prompting a response from the security forces.
This incident is part of a series of recent encounters between terrorists and security forces across Kashmir, leading to the elimination of numerous terrorist threats.
