Recipe for Oats Porridge

Here’s a simple and healthy recipe for Oats Porridge:

Ingredients:
– 1/2 cup rolled oats
– 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
– 1/2 cup water
– 1 ripe banana, mashed
– 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
– A pinch of salt
– Toppings: Fresh fruits, nuts, seeds, or a sprinkle of cinnamon (optional)

Instructions:

1. In a saucepan, combine the rolled oats, milk, and water.

2. Add a pinch of salt and bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat.

3. Reduce the heat to low and stir frequently to prevent the oats from sticking to the bottom of the pan.

4. Once the oats have absorbed the liquid and reached your desired consistency (usually about 5-7 minutes), remove the saucepan from the heat.

5. Stir in the mashed banana and honey or maple syrup if you want to add sweetness. Adjust the sweetness according to your taste.

6. Allow the porridge to sit for a minute or two to let the flavors meld.

7. Pour the oatmeal into a bowl and add your favorite toppings. Fresh fruits, nuts, seeds, or a sprinkle of cinnamon work well.
