In a tragic incident on Thursday at Mulakuzha near Chengannur, a 47-year-old man named Sreejith allegedly attacked his wife Jayashree (44) with a chopping knife, suspecting her of an extra-marital affair. The horrifying act unfolded at 9 in the morning, witnessed by their daughter.
As Jayashree screamed for help and fled the house, concerned neighbors intervened. Unable to gain entry due to Sreejith locking the door, the police were alerted. Upon forceful entry, a devastating scene awaited them – Sreejith had taken his own life, hanging from the roof.
The injured Jayashree was promptly admitted to the Government Medical College Hospital, Kottayam. Police are conducting a thorough investigation into this distressing incident. Authorities aim to unravel the circumstances leading to such a tragic turn of events.
