In a recent incident, Thamarassery police apprehended a school teacher, Shanavas, on charges of allegedly exposing himself to a girl on a KSRTC bus. Shanavas, identified as an Arabic teacher at Poovambayi AM Higher Secondary School, hails from Keeniloor.
The unsettling event unfolded during an evening journey from Wayanad to Kozhikode. Disturbed by the teacher’s actions, the girl raised an alarm, prompting passengers to urge the bus driver to head to Thamarassery police station. Subsequently, the police recorded the girl’s statement, levying charges that included offenses under the POCSO Act.
