Mumbai: Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has officially released details about its forthcoming electric vehicle (EV). The EV is named Xiaomi SU7. The company had previously announced the construction of an EV factory in Beijing with an annual production capacity of 300,000 cars.
The electric sedan is manufactured under contract by Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co. Ltd (BAIC). This electric sedan will be available in three versions – SU7, SU7 Pro, and SU7 Max.
The Xiaomi SU7 comes with two powertrain options. The rear-wheel-drive version boasts a formidable 295 bhp motor, propelling the sedan to a top speed of 210 kmph. Meanwhile, the dual-motor, four-wheel-drive version packs a powerful 664 bhp motor, enabling a top speed of 265 kmph.

In terms of dimensions, the SU7 measures 4,997 mm in length, 1,963 mm in width, and stands at a height of 1,455 mm. With a wheelbase of 3,000 mm and wheel sizes ranging from 19 to 20 inches. The SU7 weighs in at 1,980 – 2,205 kg. The electric sedan will be equipped with Xiaomi’s proprietary HyperOS.
