CM criticizes Opposition as anti-democratic for boycotting Nava Kerala Sadas inauguration.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the ‘Nava Kerala Sadas’ at Govt. Higher Secondary School in Manjeshwar constituency’s Paivalike. He emphasized the LDF government’s infrastructure contributions, noting swift progress in national highway development statewide. The CM accused those opposing the LDF government of concealing its developmental activities.

Addressing journalists on the luxury bus controversy, the CM invited them to inspect the bus’s interior during the public’s presence, criticizing Congress for boycotting the event as “anti-democratic.” He highlighted the government’s achievements, including constructing four lakh houses under the Life Mission project and providing land documents to three lakh people.

At the event, a counter received complaints, and the CM and cabinet members arrived in a luxury bus around 4 pm. Revenue Minister K Rajan presided, addressing allegations against the bus purchase. Nava Kerala Sadas will conclude on December 23, involving ministers directly engaging with the public across 140 constituencies.

Despite Congress labeling it a political campaign, the CMO assured a swift resolution of complaints, with designated counters accepting them three hours before each session. The CM expressed optimism, emphasizing Kerala’s inclusive history. Complaints can be tracked on www.navakeralasadas.kerala.gov.in, with district-level officials committed to resolving them within two to four weeks.

Opposition leaders accused the government of using taxpayer money for political purposes, citing the bus purchase. Transport Minister Antony Raju refuted claims of extravagance, stating the bus was not “ultra-luxurious” and would later benefit the tourism department.
