In the early hours of Tuesday, a minibus transporting pilgrims heading back from Sabarimala overturned near Laha, resulting in minor injuries for three individuals. The accident occurred on the road between Laha and Puthukada, involving a bus carrying pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh. The injured passengers were promptly taken to the government hospital at Perunad for medical attention.
The incident unfolded as devotees embarked on the two-month pilgrimage to the revered Sabarimala temple, whose doors opened on November 17. Pilgrims from various states, including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka, converge at the temple during this period to pay their respects to Lord Ayyappa. The pilgrimage attracts devotees from different regions who seek spiritual fulfillment during this significant religious journey to the hill shrine.
