Stock Market: Sensex, Nifty end higher

Mumbai:  Indian equity benchmark indices snapped their 2-day losing run and ended higher on November 21. BSE Sensex settled at 65,930.77, up 275.62 points or 0.42%. NSE Nifty  ended at 19,783.40, up 89.40 points or 0.45%.

About 1957 shares advanced, 1634 shares declined, and 124 shares remained unchanged. Top gainers included SBI Life Insurance, HDFC Life, Adani Enterprises, Hindalco Industries and JSW Steel.  Top losers were Coal India, ONGC, BPCL, Tech Mahindra and LTIMindtree.

Among sectors, pharma, realty, and metal up 1% each, while oil & gas and capital goods down 0.5% each. BSE Midcap and smallcap indices ended marginally higher.
