On Wednesday, the Jammu and Kashmir administration terminated the employment of four additional government personnel, including an Assistant Professor (Medicine) at SMHS Hospital Srinagar, Nisar-ul-Hassan, Constable Abdul Majeed Bhat, Laboratory bearer Abdul Salam Rather from the Higher Education Department, and teacher Farooq Ahmad Mir from the Education Department. The dismissals were executed under Article 11 of the Indian Constitution, citing alleged connections to terrorism within the Union Territory.
Over the past three years, the Union Territory administration has utilized Article 311(2)(c) of the Constitution to oust over 50 employees suspected of clandestinely collaborating with Pakistani terror outfits. These individuals, while on the government payroll, were purportedly involved in aiding terrorist activities, disseminating terrorist ideology, contributing to terror financing, and advancing a secessionist agenda, according to officials.
