Mumbai: Volkswagen India today launched the Sound Edition of the Taigun and the Virtus. Prices for the Virtus Sound Edition start at Rs 15.52 lakh and that of the Taigun starts at Rs 16.33 lakh. Both models do not receive any mechanical updates and are focused purely on musical experience. This special edition boasts a specially-tuned audio system in both five-star safety rated vehicles.
The Sound Edition is being exclusively offered on the 1.0-litre TSI (115PS/178Nm). Below are their prices (ex-showroom).

The Sound Edition gets a speaker and amplifier system, and powered front seats. It also features segment-first electric front seats, puddle lamps and footwell illumination. There is also ‘Sound’ branding on front A-pillar tweeters.
The Sound Edition comes with a ‘Sound’ badge on the B-pillar and distinctive equalizer graphics on the C-pillar. It is available in four colours (Lava Blue, Carbon Steel Grey, Wild Cherry Red and Rising Blue) in both cars. Customers can also opt for a dual-tone colour scheme with a white roof and white ORVM caps, available exclusively on the Volkswagen Taigun Sound Edition.
Both cars come mated to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox.
