Excelsior English School in Illikkal is set to kick off ‘EMUN 2K23,’ a Model United Nations, on Thursday, with the event concluding on Saturday. Model United Nations (MUN) involves role-playing as UN delegates, engaging in discussions about global issues.
A total of 320 participants from 19 schools across the state will take on the roles of delegates during this two-day event. The inaugural session, scheduled for Thursday at 5 pm, will be graced by the presence of K Karthick, District Police Chief, and other dignitaries. Following the session, attendees can look forward to a series of informative and entertaining programs.
Excelsior English School has a longstanding association with the Indian International Model United Nations (IIMUN) since 2015. Notably, in the same year, Excelsior clinched the championship trophy at the IIMUN conference in Madurai.
Since then, Excelsior has been at the forefront, hosting Kerala’s inaugural IIMUN in 2015 and consecutively for three years until 2017. In 2019, Excelsior organized its independent EMUN, and ‘EMUN 2K23’ marks the school’s fifth Model United Nations conference.
