Mumbai: Indian equity benchmark indices closed lower on November 24. This is for second day in a row that the equity indices are settling lower. IT stocks were among the biggest drags while buying was seen in pharma and metal stocks.
BSE Sensex ended down 47.77 points or 0.07% at 65,970.04. NSE Nifty settled at 19,794.70, down 7.30 points or 0.04%. About 1,721 shares advanced, 1,849 shares declined, and 114 shares were remained unchanged.

Top gainers were Adani Enterprises, Cipla, Divi’s Laboratories, Hindalco and Adani Ports. Top losers were Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Bajaj twins, Wipro, Apollo Hospitals, HCL Tech, TCS, BGritannia, Bharti Airtel, and ITC.
The BSE MidCap and SmallCap indices added 0.13% and 0.14%, respectively. Among sectors, the Nifty IT index fell 1%, followed by the Nifty FMCG (down 0.45%), and the Nifty PSU Bank index (down 0.37%). All other sectoral indices gained led by the Nifty Pharma index (up 0.71%), and the Nifty Metal index (0.82%).
