Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) and NITI Aayog have collaboratively launched the Rapid Innovation and Startup Expansion (RISE) accelerator program, aimed at supporting circular economy startups in India and Australia. This initiative, a partnership between CSIRO and AIM, strives to foster innovation and entrepreneurship, focusing initially on startups working on environment and climate technologies.
The India-Australia RISE Accelerator, spanning nine months, facilitates collaboration between Australian and Indian innovators, addressing shared global challenges. CSIRO, Australia’s premier science agency, plays a pivotal role in this endeavor, emphasizing the importance of fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.
AIM, established in 2016, takes a holistic approach to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in schools and society. Its initiatives, including Atal Tinkering Labs, Incubation Centres, New India Challenges, Community Innovation Centres, Applied Research Challenges, and a nationwide Mentors of Change network, contribute to creating an ecosystem that nurtures innovative thinking and addresses national challenges.
Moreover, AIM emphasizes strategic partnerships with public and private sectors, multinationals, and country-to-country collaborations to promote cross-border innovation exchanges, further advancing the entrepreneurial landscape in both India and Australia.
