Gunshots were fired outside the residence of Indian Punjabi singer Gippy Grewal in Canada on Saturday. Shortly after the incident, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi claimed responsibility, citing Grewal’s close association with Salman Khan as the motive for the attack.
In a Facebook post, Bishnoi asserted that his gang orchestrated the gunfire near Grewal’s home in the White Rock neighborhood of Vancouver, Canada. The statement explicitly mentioned Grewal’s ties with Salman Khan, warning that Salman’s influence wouldn’t protect Grewal. The post also challenged Salman, suggesting that relying on figures like Dawood Ibrahim for protection would be futile. The message concluded by stating that this incident was just a trailer, hinting at more to come, and warned Grewal to flee to any country, emphasizing that death knows no borders.
This isn’t the first time Bishnoi, currently incarcerated in India, has targeted Salman. Earlier this year, an alleged threat mail from Bishnoi was sent to the actor, expressing the gangster’s intent to kill Salman. Bishnoi’s interview with ABP News revealed his resentment toward Salman for the actor’s involvement in the killing of a blackbuck, a case that resulted in legal action. Bishnoi demanded an apology from Salman and warned of consequences if none was forthcoming.
Bishnoi, identified as one of the masterminds behind the killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, has a history of making threats against Salman Khan. In response to these threats, Salman was provided Y+ grade security by the Maharashtra Mumbai police last year.
