Advance bookings for the upcoming film “Animal,” starring Ranbir Kapoor, have commenced, and the response has been exceptional. Scheduled for release on December 1, the movie has already generated Rs 3.4 crore from advance ticket sales, according to Sacnilk.
The advance booking phase began on November 25, and initial estimates suggest that the film is poised to mark the biggest opening in Ranbir Kapoor’s career.
Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, known for “Kabir Singh,” “Animal” showcases Ranbir in a novel role as he portrays a ruthless individual willing to go to any lengths for his father and family.
The film’s synopsis describes it as a gangster drama that delves into the tumultuous relationships among the characters, leading to the protagonist adopting an ‘animalistic’ nature.
The star-studded cast includes Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Tripti Dimri.
During the trailer launch, Ranbir shared his experience of the first time Sandeep narrated the film’s story to him, revealing why he was left speechless after hearing the script. Recounting the initial narration meeting, Ranbir stated, “Sandeep narrated me the story of ‘Animal’ for the first time around three years back. And, I remember when he ended the narration, I was not able to speak a word, and I directly went to the bathroom. Looking at the mirror, thinking about what he (Sandeep) had just narrated to him and whether I would be able to perform the character or not.”
