Mumbai: leading two-wheeler brand in the country, Royal Enfield has launched its Shotgun 650. The new bobber-style bike was unveiled at its Motoverse event in Goa.
The the model is developed in limited units, which will be sold to the 25 attendees via lucky draw. The bobber-style bike will hit the Indian market next year, and will be sold at the starting price of Rs 4.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The delivery will begin at the start of next year.
The bike gets a round headlamp, circular turn indicators, a teardrop shaped fuel tank, minimal side panels, and thick front forks. Other features include a gloss black engine cover, twin peashooter exhaust mufflers, spoked alloy wheels, shortened front and rear fenders, and a wide, flat handlebar. It comes with a semi-digital instrument console, Tripper Navigation with Bluetooth connectivity, all-LED illumination, and a USB charging port. Royal Enfield will be offering plenty of customization options with the Shotgun 650 via the MIY programme.

The bike is powered by 649cc, air/oil-cooled, parallel-twin cylinder which is paired with a 6-speed gearbox via a slip and assist clutch. The engine generates a max output of 47bhp and 52Nm. It gets upside down front forks with an integrated aluminium top yoke and dual springs at the rear. Braking duties are carried out by disc brakes at both ends aided by dual-channel ABS.
As far as the transmission is concerned, the power source is mated with a six-speed gearbox.
